Volunteering at Hands-on House is a great way for teens to gain valuable work experience, learn responsibility, work with young children, make new friends and give something back to their community while having fun. It’s also a terrific way to earn service learning credit for school, church or scouting.

Volunteers must be in the 8th grade (or older) for the 2008-2009 school year. Volunteers attend a two-hour orientation session and are expected to volunteer a minimum of 20 hours over the summer months.

Summer teen volunteers participate as camp aides for Summertime Station, our special summer camp program for children ages 4-7. Camp aides work directly with the young campers, assisting with projects and activities while having great fun! Volunteer shifts are 8:30am – 12:30pm, Monday through Friday. Volunteers are asked to commit to one or more full weeks.
