Lighten Up For A Healthy Holiday
Remember these five simple daily steps and your family will be on its way to healthy holiday fun!

5 Eat five servings of fruits and veggies.

  • Fruit kabobs and veggies with dip are healthy crowd pleasers.
  • Fill half your plate with fruits and veggies.

4 Drink four or more cups of water.

  • Drink calories count!
  • Choose water instead of soda, juice or sports drinks.

3 Eat three meals as a family.

  • Start every day with breakfast.
  • Smaller plates=smaller portions

2 Spend two hours or less of TV or computer time.

  • Instead of watching holiday specials on TV, read the stories together

1 One hour of physical activity.

  • Go outside and play!
  • Take a few extra laps around the mall while holiday shopping
