Weekend Classes  Hands-on House classes offer an opportunity to explore topics in-depth in a small group setting geared for 5-10 year olds. Classes are led by experienced museum educators and incorporate hands-on, participatory activities. The cost is $12 for members or $14 for nonmembers.

North Pole Party: Night of the Elves It’s “party time” in Santa’s workshop and you’re invited. Snowflakes will be flying as you assemble a snow globe, put your special touch on finger print wrapping paper and experiment with “cocoa chemistry” to develop a mix that’s M-m-m good.
Saturday, December 13 9:30am-10:15am: 5 to 10 yrs. 11:00am-11:45am: 5 to 10 yrs. 1:00pm to 1:45pm: 5 to 10 yrs. 2:30pm to 3:15pm: 5 to 10 yrs.

Registration Policies

• NEW! You may register for all classes in advance by visiting or calling Hands-on House at any time during public hours.
• Registration is on a “first-come, first-served” basis. Space in each class is limited.
• You may only register your own children.
• Parents/adults do not accompany children to class (except where noted.)
• Children must be toilet-trained (not needing diapers or pull-ups) to attend class. (Not required for Hand-In-Hand)
• NEW Stay and play! Class fee includes museum admission for child participant during public hours on day of class. (Adults $7) Not valid for drop-in events.
• Payment is due in full at the time of registration.
• There will be no refunds unless the class is cancelled.
• Payments are NOT transferable to a different class, day, or time.
• Hands-on House reserves the right to cancel any class.
